I just moved to the area and needed to get my timing belt changed on my Subaru. I got quotes from several shops in the area and when I called Tooles about a quote they recommended that I actually bring the car by for a free in-person (in-car?) inspection so they could give a better quote. I admit, when they recommended that I bring the car by for a quote I was a bit annoyed and assumed that they were trying to get me to the garage so they could try to hook me into getting it worked on right then and there before I had time to shop around for other quotes - I have had that happen in the past. Despite my misgivings, I brought my car by for a quote and happily discovered that I was incorrect about their motives. Beau and Cecilia impressed me with their friendliness and openness (they even offered to show me around the back of their garage, which most places in my experience will not do). The quote Beau gave me was detailed and included things that would definitely be replaced, as well as those items that might need to be replaced depending on their condition. I appreciated having all of the information before I committed to getting my car worked on there. Beau asked if I wanted to make an appointment for the timing belt service, but did not try to convince me to do so immediately. When I took the car in for service they gave me a complementary ride home and the guy who drove me home was friendly and we had a great conversation on the way there (unfortunately I do not remember his name). When they started working on my car they discovered that my radiator was leaking. Normally this would have been a red flag, but I have been smelling coolant lately, though I had not noticed a drop in coolant levels. Luckily my car is still under extended warranty. When I informed Beau of that he took care of talking with the insurance company and getting my radiator covered! I really appreciated that they dealt with that particular hassle. Unfortunately they were not able to get the new radiator in immediately, so I had to go the weekend without my car, but Tooles offered an extremely affordable rental for the weekend, and called me several times to update me on the timeline for getting my car fixed. The service was great and everyone I interacted with was both friendly and helpful. I cannot say anything about the longevity of their work, as this was my first experience with them, but they do back all of their service with a great warranty! I'll definitely be coming back the next time my beloved car needs any work.
