About San Carlos
San Carlos, "The City of Good Living," is located at the center of the San Francisco Bay Area and has everything at its doorstep, halfway between San Francisco and San Jose. San Carlos boasts an ideal climate and many points of interest - the San Carlos Museum, Hiller Aviation Museum and hiking trails at Big Canyon, Eaton and Devonshire Canyon parks. We have an outstanding school system including Arundel, Brittan Acres, Heather and White Oaks elementary schools. San Carlos also has two middle schools - Central and Tierra Linda - and is part of the Sequoia Union High School District. San Carlos has many attractive residential areas and a vibrant downtown centered around Laurel Street. San Carlos has a Caltrain station as well as SamTrans bus stops along El Camino Real. As part of northern Silicon Valley, San Carlos hosts several technology companies. Tesla once called San Carlos! Many biotechnology companies like NuGEN Technologies and Iovance and medical instrumentation firms like Bowman Medical Supply and California Radiographics call San Carlos home. Several breweries are here, too -- we truly love Devil's Canyon Brewing Company and Blue Oak Brewing Company - and Domenico, Russian Ridge, Flying Suitcase and Cuvee are making wine right down the street. San Carlos has a friendly, warm and involved community atmosphere.
