They did not successfully diagnose the issue. But that cost 1000.

You brought your Escape to us with a series of warning lights and requested a diagnosis, which we performed and determined that your hybrid battery appears to be failing. We recommended two options for replacement, as well as some other services for your vehicle, all of which you declined to do at this time. The total cost for the complete inspection, testing and analysis - including the diagnosis - was $260. I couldn't ask for a better place to take my Truck. Love everything about Tooles and their wonderful customer care and technicians. Beau is an amazing and awesome man, but I think I'm a bit partial to him because we're both Sicilian 😉. Won't take my Toyota Tundra anywhere else. So glad to have such trustworthy & a honest place in my small town where the people know your name. No it's not a bar, but it's a very comfortable place to hang out while there working on your vehicle.

I think what you're suggesting, Sue, is that we install a bar. I think that's a great idea! Great experience. Interacting with the service personnel was very professional and smooth. Thought it was going to cost me a lot more than it did but I was informed that what at first appeared to be a major repair, was in fact a very minor problem so really appreciate the honesty. Thank you.

Those kinds of surprises are great, Jon! Sometimes, the diagnostic process uncovers a simple fix and saves you from going down an expensive and incorrect path. We often recommend testing and analysis as the first step to solving a symptom rather than guessing at the cause and replacing parts on a hunch. We often find causes in systems unrelated to the thing making the noise or causing the drivability problem, and our customers end up with a definitive fix rather than a bandaid repair. That's doing it right!

Very disappointed in this company. False promises, over charging, and lack of follow through. Would discourage anyone from using this shop. Will never go back based on this experience.

We missed the target, Brian, and didn't communicate with you at our usual high level. After reviewing your repair estimate, I found some errors that we've since adjusted and discussed with you. The water pump and radiator replacement on your diesel truck is an unusually complex job, so we'll be happy to handle it for you if you find it's not a do-it-yourself project. I appreciate the feedback, and I assure you that we'll always deal with you honestly and fairly, and if we get it wrong, we'll always make it right.

My truck was finally in need of a new transmission. So after sourcing the performance transmission I wanted they installed it along with all new lines, trans cooler, coolant bypass, and range sensor. Their mechanic spoke with me regarding some other maintenance items I wanted checked like a new rear main seal, greasing the front drive shaft u-joints and wanted to make sure everything I wanted done was being taken care of. They did it in a very timely & professional manner all while keeping updated throughout the install.
