I recently did a pre-purchase inspection by Tooles Garage. They squeezed me in last minute and were great with communication throughout the process. I asked the guys how the inspection went and if the car was in good enough shape to make the long drive home. 1hr into the drive the new car I just bought won't start, so I'm sitting on the side of the road waiting for the tow truck at 3:00am . . the battery check came out good but I guess the overall inspection did not. 1/10 would not recommend. Update 6/2/22: I ended up taking this vehicle to the dealership to diagnose the issue. . . Not only did Tooles Garage neglect to see the condition of the alternator but they also didn't noticed a hole in the radiator. Don't make the same mistake as me. If you need to get your pre-purchase vehicle inspection, don't do it at Tooles Garage.
Thank you Jordan for your feedback. We are sorry to hear that your vehicle let you down. Our pre-purchase inspection includes a very thorough review of all things that may indicate an issue or possible repair. We check approximately 32 different items during the inspection. Our pre-purchase inspection does not include diagnosis of any items we identify as having a concern. We did identify 12 different areas of concern with your vehicle. Some that require diagnosis, some that are standard maintenance items, and some that are considered repairs. From our understanding, given your restrictions on time, you were unable to address any of those concerns. We are sorry to hear that your alternator failed shortly after our inspection was performed. We understand how important it is to keep your vehicle running and on the road. We could not have anticipated this electronic failure. We do hope you understand the limitations when it comes to components and how they can fail at any time. Please note that Toole's Garage does provide a 3 year 36 thousand mile warranty on all performed repairs.
